San Gabriel Valley Music Magazine has a new look and feel for 2017! We hope you return often to see some of our exciting new content! We have some great things lined up for 2017. We plan to reach out the San Gabriel Valley Music Scene with more opportunites with events, video channels and extended coverage of our past and present history.
SGVmusic set to Cover the 2017 NAMM Show
We are excited to bring you the sights and sounds of the 2017 NAMM show January 19th-22 at the Anahiem Convention center. We are meeting with new product manufacteres like Zylia Co. makers of a new round multi-track microphone and Tagima Guitars new line of electric basses and guitars.
Stories from SGV musicians - Channel coming soon
We are currently shooting some videos of amusing, silly, crazy, and historic antics from local musicians. We want to preserve our local music history while sharing some insights on the lives of our musicians. Like the time in 1966 when The Premiers were given a 45 record of Sonny & Cher's hit "I got you babe" and were told to learn it fast as they were going to be the thier band playing it giant theater in Anahiem. Stay tuned for our new channel and get ready submit your own stories!
SGVmusic to collobrate with dA Center for Arts in Pomona
SGVmusic is collaborating with the dA Center for the Arts. SGVmusic editor and Music Industry Veteran recently met with the director of dA center Margaret Aichele on how they could work together to strengethen the Music Programs in this muliti-disiplinary Art Center. They are currently working on bringing some great music programs in conjuction with art exhibits this fall. Ledesma plans to host four events covering different genres of music like Son Jarocho, Tex-Mex, Cuban Music and Latin Jazz. In addition she is working on a Songwriting network to meet monthly at dA as well as an open Jam night for Jazz and Latin Jazz community players. More to come.
